Santa Comes Up Trumps Again! |
Ive received a Palm Tungsten E for christmas, it replaces my aging and bulky M105 and Im absolutely over the moon with it.Its compact, well build and very stylish. Installing the software, Hotsyncing and getting the info from my old Palm was a breeze. Going to get a SD card so I can load it with MP3s - so far this little gadget replaces my diary, notepad, address book, a rack of floppys and a personal stereo.

The Tao of Palm |
Being new to the world of partable computer gadgets, I was unsure how useful I would find this. But the idea of being able to enter text on the go was enough for me to buy a Tungsten E. And at the price I didnt have alot to loose. After using it for about a month I am most impressed. Being able to write and read emails then simply sync to send is great, my wife also loves this as I usually hog the computer in the day for work. The amount of free and shareware software was also a great benefit. As the palm has been around for so long a healthy community of programmers etc has produced thousands of pieces of software. Then the other day, I got around to adding an Sd card and trying out listening to mp3s and agian on this count I was impressed at the ease and quality of its use. All in all a great product. High production values akin to that of Apple. 5 Stars

Great Value, Great look |

This is my second Palm powered device. Before buying the Tungsten E, I had a Palm m500 black-and-white device. Not only is this handheld better in virtually every way to the m500, but its also £60 cheaper than I paid for the m500 only 16 months ago. The colour screen is top-notch, the 32mb of internal memory is more than enough. The Expansion slot can take all manner of devices, including the soon to be released (early 2004) digital camera add-on, which will be great in conjunction with the high-quality screen. SD memory cards can also be used, giving you the potential of up to 512MB of extra memory. The ability to play both movie clips and MP3 adds even more value, although it should be noted that you will need an SD card to play MP3 files. They will not play off the Palms internal memory. If that wasnt enough, you also get a great suite of software with the device, including the latest version (version 6) of Documents to Go, allowing you to view, edit and create word, excel and powerpoint files on your palm. The software alone is worth something like £30-£40. In short, buy this handheld. It has a broad range of features at a great price.
